Job description

Tasks

  • Structural examination of static calculations and the associated implementation documents

  • Preparation of awarding, supervision and accounting of engineering contracts for structural testing by external test engineers

  • Preparation of static calculations for designs of bridge structures, noise barriers and other supporting structures

  • Cooperation in the federal investigation program for the recalculation and strengthening of bridge structures

  • Elaboration of recommendations for repair and upgrading measures or restrictions of use

  • Professional support for employees of other organizational units in structural design issues

Requirements

  • Completed studies in civil engineering (Bachelor / Ing. FH / Master / Ing. TU) with a specialization in structural engineering

  • In-depth knowledge in structural engineering with several years of experience in the preparation and verification of static calculations in bridge construction

  • Safe application of the relevant technical regulations including the European standards and DIN technical report

  • Experience in assessing the structural condition and stability, also of existing buildings, is desirable

  • Class B driver's license and readiness to drive a company car

  • Willingness to travel occasionally
