In your new position, you will need to be able to make decisions, have a conceptual and goal-oriented approach to your work, as well as a high degree of teamwork and service orientation. As Department Manager Nature Conservation/Landscape Management/Environment you will work closely with the departmental management of route planning and the business unit management of planning in Hamburg.

Job description


  • Control and conceptual implementation of natural and environmental law requirements at all levels of planning
  • Allocation, processing, control and examination of the landscape planning contributions such as UVS, LBP, species protection expert contributions, FFH compatibility tests and faunistic expert opinions for the extension, conversion and new construction of the federal freeways
  • Information and participation of numerous people involved in the planning process
  • Coordination with the technical authorities, regional authorities and associations involved
  • Representation of the planning in the internal administrative process, within the framework of public participation, before committees, municipal bodies and supervisory authorities
  • Opinions on changes in technical and legal regulations
  • Participation in legal proceedings to obtain the building law
  • Contact person for technical and legal questions for the head office and the branch offices of the northern branch




  • Completed studies in the field of landscape planning, landscape management or comparable
  • Several years of professional experience in the field of environmental and landscape planning
  • Sound technical, legal and methodological knowledge of project-related environmental and landscape planning, including planning, road, environmental, species protection and administrative law as well as the relevant standards and regulations
  • Driver's license for passenger cars
