Job description


  • Design and implementation of the IT process organization for the organizational unit Digital Innovation, Platforms and Clouds, the disciplinary and technical management of a team of 4 employees as well as regular reporting to the departmental head of IT application operations

  • Coordination, technical support and validation in the development and operationalization of an innovation strategy as well as in the conception and implementation of measures to promote the culture of innovation in the company

  • Coordination, technical support and validation in the development of an innovation management process, in the establishment of an innovation workshop/platform as well as in the conception and promotion of digital innovations and "emerging technologies" with suitable methods of innovation management and design thinking

  • Observation of trends, market developments and technologies in cooperation with the innovation manager, including professional support and validation of environment analyses, trend scouting and participation in selected external events, as well as building a network of start-ups and innovation forges

  • Coordination, technical support and validation during the development of cloud and platform architecture roadmaps in regular consultation with the cloud and platform architects and, in particular, with the IT enterprise architecture and other affected organizational units

  • Coordination, technical support and validation during the design, implementation and deployment of cloud and platform architectures, including the modernization and further consolidation of the business application landscape, support for architects and the innovation manager in driving platform-based initiatives and cloud-native initiatives in the individual projects on site

  • Coordination, technical support and validation in the implementation of monitoring, management and BCM strategies for public cloud, private cloud and hybrid cloud environments

  • Representation of the team in all relevant working groups, steering committees and steering committees


  • A successfully completed college or university degree with a focus on computer science, practical computer science, business informatics, administrative informatics or comparable knowledge and experience

  • Expert knowledge in areas such as IaaS, PaaS and SaaS, Analytics, BPMS, BRMS and Operational Decision Platforms, preferably with appropriate certifications, as well as sound knowledge of modern technology stacks and OCP, Ansible, Prometheus, Istio, Quay/Claire, Jenkins or CI/CD, Docker Container and orchestration such as Kubernetes

  • High assertiveness and result-orientation as well as distinct ability to grasp, structure and process complex interrelationships as well as high understanding of security-relevant aspects, commitment, flexibility and assertiveness as well as service and customer orientation and good communication and negotiation skills

  • Profound knowledge in requirements analysis and customer-oriented solution development (e.g. UX, Design Thinking, Lean Startup, Agile), proven experience in the selection and application of design tools and methods as well as the investigation and analysis of new technologies. Trends, standards and their possible applications

  • At least 6 years of experience in innovation management, in the steering, coaching and development of agile teams as well as in the implementation and execution of processes in innovation and idea management as well as in the areas of cloud architecture and platform architecture; thereof at least 3 years of experience in the professional and/or disciplinary leadership of (project) teams

  • Readiness to travel for business trips within the country
