Commercial Manager Cabin Systems (m/f/x)

We are looking for a Commercial Manager Cabin Systems for major technical projects for our client Lufthansa Technik AG in Hamburg. In addition to outstanding team and negotiation skills, qualities such as a confident demeanour, conflict resolution skills, initiative and the ability to solve complex issues in a structured manner are essential in this position.   • Ensuring compliance with project targets in terms of quality, time and costs

  • Project planning, controlling and reporting - Driving forward and realising the development project to the defined result

  • Managing sub-project managers, project staff and external partners

  • Identifying and realising cost-cutting potential

  • Coordination of handovers in engineering to programme management

  • Maintaining and expanding development partnerships

  • Representing LHT interests to customers and leading management meetings, including preparation and follow-up work

  • Identifying work packages for outsourcing, monitoring the provision of services and approving payments

  • Preparation of quotation calculations for additional services


  • Successfully completed scientific studies in engineering or economics 

  • Many years of professional experience in development projects or in engineering

  • Several years of experience in the management of interdisciplinary (large-scale) projects as well as high methodological competence in project management

  • Very good understanding of business contexts

  • Extensive knowledge of current technical developments in the aviation industry and aviation legislation in the relevant area of responsibility is desirable

  • Proficient in MS Office, SAP and JIRA

  • Business fluent in English, further language skills are an advantage

  • Willingness to work at home and abroad

  • Existing work permit for the EU
