Tasks

• Coordination, planning and scheduling of the company's transports and those of external logistics companies

• Control of personnel in compliance with and observance of legal regulations

• Observing the IFS guidelines as well as the fleet and transport company compliance system 

• Ensuring complete and seamless documentation of transports

• Checking compliance with the legal driving and rest times as well as carrying out infringement instructions and driver briefings

• Continuous optimisation of the utilisation and empty kilometre rate as well as purchase of additional freight space if required

• Continuous monitoring and analysis of the transport market, e.g. freight price developments

Qualification

• Successfully completed vocational training as a forwarding agent or comparable commercial training with relevant practical experience, ideally in the area of food transports

• Knowledge of the legal driving and rest times as well as a basic understanding of geography

• Confident handling of MS Office and SAP

• Communicative and responsible team player with strong organisational skills, assertiveness and a quick grasp of the situation
