Job description


  • Development of new polymers and their manufacturing processes for the high-performance tire market

  • Carrying out experimental and theoretical work with the aim of optimizing existing polymers and processes 

  • Synthesis planning for the production of polymers and their precursors

  • Development of recommendations for improved process control

  • Physico-chemical characterization of polymers and kinetic-chemical description of the polymerization process

  • Introduction of new measurement and analysis methods

  • Coordination of laboratory and pilot plant personnel

  • Regular research of the state of the art in the field of work


  • Completed college or university studies in the field of chemistry or polymer chemistry

  • Several years of industrial experience in the field of polymerization 

  • Extensive experience in polymer synthesis and typical polymer analogous reactions including inert working methods

  • Solid knowledge of the polymerization process including polymerization and work-up

  • Confident handling of relevant databases including MS Office

  • Very good knowledge of German and English
