Job description

Tasks

• Definition of specifications and structural analysis

• Definition and proposal of program code routines for analysis processes, methods & tools (e.g. FEM pre- & postprocesses, automatic calculation, digital data processing)

• Planning of activities according to defined results

• Improve, define and adapt stress and F&DT methods, assumptions, data and procedures for metallic and composite structures (hand calculations as well as FEM methods)

• Support and lead the preparation of stress, fatigue, and damage tolerance analysis reports and certification documents

• Evaluate and provide evidence of nonconformities in production (concessions)

• Establish required testing procedures and progress monitoring in accordance with program process

Requirements

• Completed engineering degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering

• Extensive professional experience in structural analysis during the development phases and life cycle of multiple aircraft

• Expertise in stress, load, fatigue and damage tolerance for metal and composite components

• Experience in providing leadership and direction on complex tasks

• Extensive knowledge of airframe certification requirements, design criteria, materials, methods and tools

• Experience in new aircraft development (CS25)

• Communicative team player with presentation and leadership skills and an analytical and structured approach to work
