Tasks

• Coordinate, supervise and direct the preparation of detailed construction plans, as well as follow up on plans and correct any deviations

• Validation of prepared calculations and designs

• Verification of compliance with codes, standards, and design specifications of engineering firms and designers

• Procurement of project information and required materials / construction services

• Support of the tendering and construction process

• Reviewing compliance with contractual terms and conditions and complaint management responsibilities 

• Managing interfaces between contractors

• Reporting responsibilities, including management of daily, weekly and monthly reports

• Participate during due diligence processes on construction related matters

Qualification

• Successfully completed studies in the field of civil engineering, engineering or a comparable qualification

• Many years of professional experience in heavy industry engineering or several years of professional experience as a construction engineer on a construction site

• Construction site experience required

• Experience working in a large utility and multicultural environment advantageous

• Knowledge of technical process procedures in the cement, ready-mix concrete and aggregates industries

• IT application knowledge of MS Office, CAD, AutoCad, Staad Pro, SAP 2000, Robot and RFEM

• Business fluent in German and English

• Team player with leadership qualities
