Task description

  • Replacing defective components and wear and tear parts
  • Installing aircraft components such as fuselage sections, wings, rudders and pitch elevators
  • Installing and dismantling structural parts and components using rivets and by drilling and grinding
  • Overhaul of the aircraft at specified intervals in accordance with the maintenance and repair instructions
  • Carrying out and taking responsibility for functional inspections on component assemblies and systems using testing and inspection equipment
  • Implementing safety and functional checks on aircraft while the vehicle is idle and also after repair and servicing work has been performed
  • Manufacture of production materials and also application of protection against corrosion
  • Documentation of the work carried out

Requirements

  • Vocational training as an aircraft mechanic specialising in maintenance, or alternatively in another profession with a relevant qualification
  • Several years' experience in line and base maintenance and also in the area of aircraft structure would be beneficial
  • Knowledge of the ATR and Dornier aircraft models desirable
  • Good understanding in terms of reading technical drawings
  • Confident user of MS Office
  • Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written
