We are looking to recruit an aircraft mechanic for maintenance work in Nîmes, France. In your future position you will be responsible for the replacement of defective components and wear and tear parts, amongst other things.

Task description

  • Carrying out maintenance and repair work as part of line and base maintenance on various aircraft models, primarily in the area of tankers and firefighting aircraft
  • Installation and removal of hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical components and systems as well as structural assemblies
  • Overhaul of the aircraft at specified maintenance intervals in accordance with the maintenance and repair instructions
  • Performance of safety and function inspections on aircraft according to permit
  • Documentation of the work carried out

Requirements

  • Vocational training as an aircraft mechanic in the area of manufacturing technology or maintenance technology, or alternatively training in another profession involving metal processing with a qualification in aircraft mechanics
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in line and base maintenance
  • CAT A licence desirable
  • Practical knowledge of one or more of the following aircraft types required: Airbus A330, Airbus A400M, Boeing KC135, McDonnell Douglas DC 10, Canadair CL-415, Dash 8
  • Good knowledge of English or French
  • Knowledge of German is desirable
  • Willingness to work shifts
