In your future position you will be based in Manching for our customer Airbus Defence and Space GmbH and, among other duties, will be responsible for planning and implementing of test programs internally as well as at test houses.

Task description

  • Developing and qualificating of REACH compliant substitution technologies in the area of corrosion protection of Military aircraft (corrosion protection primers and pretreatment)
  • Responsibility for requirement analysis
  • Establishment of all relevant technical and qualification documents as well as material and process specifications
  • Compilation of technical reports and presentations
  • Exchange with materials suppliers
  • Collaboration with other Airbus divisions for harmonisation of development and qualification activities

Requirements

  • Degree in engineering or chemistry
  • Expertise in organic chemistry and corrosion protection of aluminium, titanium and steel
  • Good knowledge of paints and pretreatments for metal parts
  • Good understanding of long term behaviour of coatings and organic materials under environmental conditions and prediction of life time is required
  • Comprehension of chemical and physcial surface treatments technologies for metallic and composite materials
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations like REACH is required
  • Fluent German and English skills
