Use your know-how to give tomorrow's technologies a head start, here and now, as a design engineer in Manching for our client Airbus Defence and Space GmbH and use your ambition and innovation to rise to the challenges faced in the area of aircraft structure.

Task description

  • Independent development of sophisticated structural concepts on overall aircraft level

  • Interface coordination in an international environment and preparation of feasibility studies and trade-off studies

  • Pre-dimensioning as well as detail design of parts, components and assemblies

  • Creation of functional and production-oriented construction documents using CAD (CATIA V4/V5)

  • Preparation of parts lists and data management including validity control via EDP (VPM and PDM)

  • Responsible development of repair solutions and handling of construction deviations in the area of Built Line Support

  • Construction of Retro-Fit construction documents

  • Preparation of in-service repairs on customer aircraft and support for the installation and repair at the customer's site, including any necessary damage assessment

Requirements

  • Degree in aircraft construction, aircraft design or aerospace engineering

  • Or alternatively technician training in structural design or aircraft construction

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in engineering and construction

  • Many years of experience in structural design, ideally on the Eurofighter, absolutely necessary

  • Confident user of MS Office, Catia V4, Catia V5 as well as VPM and PDM required

  • Fluent command of German and English
