We are looking for a final assembly line process engineer for our client, Airbus Operations GmbH, in Hamburg. In your future position, you will be responsible for the calculation, validation and assignment of assembly orders.

Task description

  • Implementation of assembly orders in English for the "Airbus Joint Venture" Final Assembly Line (FAL) for China and the USA
  • Coordination of procedures relating to FAL between Europe, China and the USA, as well as the necessary guarantee of the availability of valid norms and regulations in the IT environment for FAL China and the USA
  • Guaranteeing communication and assistance in the international environment
  • Preparation of non-series commissions in the case of unforeseen events, as well as of assembly manuals in English
  • Responsibility for the complete and timely implementation of Airbus design specifications during manufacture
  • Preparation and timely commissioning of shipping orders for components required in China and the USA, with consideration for procedures in European IT systems and regulations
  • Participation in the definition of components during the development phase
  • Specification of special manufacturing means for FAL China and the USA


  • Completed degree, preferably in mechanical engineering, or in aviation or astronautics
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in manufacturing and production, manufacturing engineering as well as in quality management
  • Expertise in the fields of project management and work preparation
  • Knowledge of FAL processes
  • Confident user of SAP R/3, Ticon, Taksy/Gesy/Tesy and ZAMIZ
  • Fluent command of German and English
  • A willingness to go on business trips worldwide would round off your profile
