Design Engineer for A350 structure and design (m/f)

We are looking to recruit a Design Engineer for our client, Elbe Flugzeugwerke GmbH, for the A350 in Dresden. In your future position, you will be responsible for the establishment of external construction data and construction documents in the form of models, drawings and plots.

Task description

  • Constructional design of interior and structural aircraft components, component groups and parts based on sketches and designs, as well as the generation of the relevant construction documentation
  • Preparation of 2D individual part, assembly and repair drawings and detail of 3D models by applying current regulations and taking into account production issues
  • Submission and maintenance of data in the relevant product data management system
  • Investigation of components and component groups ahead of installation, including their possible manufacturability in consultation with the specialist departments
  • Dealing with deviations arising in construction and with reported complaints
  • Preparation of documents for certification, qualification, upgrading and operation

Requirements

  • Engineering degree 
  • Several years of professional experience in design engineering
  • Practical experience in the development, interpretation and construction of interior and structural components
  • Knowledge of aircraft systems and documentation, aviation-specific standards, materials and standard parts
  • Confident user of MS Office, CCD, CATIA V4, CATIA V5, VPM and PDM-Link and Windchill
  • Good knowledge of German and English
