We are looking for a power electronics engineer in Friedrichshafen for our client, Airbus Defence and Space GmbH. Amongst other things, you will be responsible for finding suitable technological solutions in the area of power electronics.

Task description

  • Help analyse customer specifications
  • Creating detailed electrical circuit diagrams whilst taking different factors such as layout, assembly and tests into account
  • Conducting necessary analyses using Worst Case, Parts Stress and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMECA) 
  • Developing simulation models for electrical circuits using programs such as PSpice
  • Realising trial installations in the laboratory and conducting characterisation and functionality tests of individual hardware units
  • Calculation of electronics and supporting the areas of construction, structural analysis and thermal in the development of optimised mechanical architecture
  • Documentation of findings in English pursuant to aerospace standards 

Requirements

  • Degree in physics, electrical engineering, digital design or analogue electronics 
  • Several years' experience of developing hardware and in the aerospace industry is required
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and software tools for analysing electrical circuit diagrams (DSpice and Mentor DxDesigner)
  • Experience of creating circuit diagrams
  • Fluent command of German and English
  • Analytical thinking and behaviour round off your profile
