We are looking to recruit a project manager in the aviation industry in Manching for our client Airbus Defence and Space GmbH. In your future position you will be responsible for measuring and reviewing project performance and adapting project plans.

Task description

  • Monitoring of project management with regard to project tasks in time, costs and quality
  • Responsibility for all phases of the project in terms of design, development, integration, qualification and acceptance and conclusion of contracts
  • Risk management including the identification and coordination of mitigation measures and random events using project management tools and key performance indicators
  • Project-related resource management in the Programme Control Management (PCM) team
  • Management of interfaces to customers and partner companies to complete the project task
  • Project-related progress monitoring and reporting based on the key figures and KPIs generated
  • Measurement and review of project performance and adapting project plans
  • Support of estimates to completion, schedules and resources and inclusion in regular reporting
  • Organisation and management of regular project and risk reviews

Requirements

  • Degree in engineering, preferably in aerospace
  • Several years of professional experience in engineering and project management
  • Experience in the international military customer and industrial environment as well as with training systems, simulators or aircraft systems
  • PMP certification or similar experience required
  • Knowledge of the Eurofighter program, in terms of aircraft, logistics, further education and training advantageous
  • Confident user of MS Office and MS Project
  • Fluent command of German and English
