We are looking for a Quality Engineer for our customer Airbus Defence and Space GmbH in Bremen. In your future position you will be responsible for the development of propulsion subsystem assemblies and equipment.

Task description

  • Monitoring of the design activities and close-out of RFWs and deviations as well as the close-out of subcontractor NCRs and critical items
  • Maintenance of the Product Assurance & Safety (PA&S) requirements baseline for the subcontracted items
  • Acceptance of propulsion subsystem assemblies and equipment
  • Implementation of the quality engineering for the AIT within the Orion-ESM project and for the development of MGSE, FGSE, Logistic and Design
  • Planning of the quality activities for the manufacturing, integration and test activities plus daily tracking, surveillance and close-out of NCRs and anomalies
  • Leading of the Nonconformance Review Board process in close collaboration with subcontractors and the final customer as well as monitoring of the manufacturing, integration and test activities
  • Preparation of the Orion ESM ESA acceptance data package (Anomaly Section) and control of the AIT quality activities
  • Developming, maintenance and action taking to improve quality metrics
  • Preparation and maintenance of the quality documentation and process for ordering parts and materials

Requirements

  • Degree in engineering preferentially in electrical engineering, industrial engineering or aerospace
  • At least 3 years experience in engineering, space or aerospace projects and quality assurance management
  • Experience in production, engineering and tests appreciated
  • Safe handling with MS Office and SAP
  • Experience in quality tools and methods with APQP, PPS, 8D and 5W desirable
  • Fluent English and good German skills, French is a plus
  • Willigness to business trips
