Task description

  • Performing initial triage of incidents and providing defined first reactions
  • Discerning false positives from true attack attempts or suspicious behaviours based on provided instructions
  • Gathering data to support deep analyses by Level 2 analysts as well as escalating alarms to Level 2 analysts when necessary
  • Ensuring effictive action documentation, reporting and metrics by opening, tracking and closing tracking tickets for triage and investigation processes
  • Providing reports and visualizations of security attacks on ad-hoc basis using defined tools and procedures
  • Documenting requests to the Security Operations Centre
  • Communicating with users in compliance with communication rules, corporate identity, given mandates and quality requirements
  • Providing reports and visualizations of security attacks as well as performance reports in support of service management
  • Performing 1st Level troubleshooting of sensor failures and IT isses in close liaison with on-call specialists
  • Ensuring compentence with regard to the latest in security vulnerabilites, advisories, incidents and penetration techniques and notifying customers when appropriate
  • Participating in planning, organizing and implementing knowledge exchange, individual or team projects, process improvement projects and the compilation of manuals and technical articles for the internal knowledge base

Requirements

  • Recently acquired degree in information technology or equivalent thereof
  • Prior experience in network and systems monitoring
  • Basic knowledge of information technology components networks as well as in the field of remote service delivery and IT operations
  • Expertise in the cyber defence field as well as an active interest in secure information systems and security architecture
  • Capability to follow set procedures and instructions and to observe confidentiality, integrity and information availability requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and correct and coherent documentation
  • Excellent time management and mulitasking skills
  • Willingness to flexible and rotating shifts including nights and weekends
