We are looking for a for our customer Airbus Defence and Space GmbH in Taufkirchen. In your future position you will be responsible for supporting the deployment and evolution of the Galileo system and the evolution of EGNOS on
navigation signal related aspects.

Task description

  • Contributing to new ideas and applications related to satellite navigation on navigation signal related aspects
  • Supporting the evolution of system and segment level Signal-In-Space requirements as well as the defining and developing of new tools for signal performance analysis
  • Defining, performing and reporting design and verification analysis on signal performance aspects in a view of receiver tracking and PVT, navigation message, authentication, systems and user integrity, signal distortions and system performance budgets
  • Determing, planning, conducting and evaluating laboratory experiments to support trade-off-analysis and interpretation of measurement data evaluation results
  • Ensuring the correct implementation and verification
  • Participating in sub-project


  • Degree in communication sciences or electrical engineering
  • Profound knowledge of GNSS signal aspects especially concerning signal performance aspects and receiver processing and tracking performance
  • Know-How of digital signal processing (CDMA signals, numeric simulations and analysis, encoding techniques and channel models)
  • Solid experience in the analysis and usage of satellite navigation signals especially on signal performance aspects and navigation receiver processing and tracking algorithms and performances is required
  • Experience in measurement data analysis and laboratory experimentation
  • Good skills of rapid and clean engineering software generation and usage in a view of Matlab or C/C++
  • Fluent German and English skills
