System Safety Engineer in the aerospace industry (m/f/x)

Enhance your professional success as an System Safety Engineer in the aerospace industry and realise your vision together with ARTS. In your future position you will be based in Munich for our customer and, among other duties, will be responsible for the development of a safety and reliability plan and the definition of safety requirements at aircraft and system level.

Task description

  • Development of a dedicated safety and reliability plan for new aerospace aircraft architectures
  • Setup of a dedicated set of safety tools to support the development plan
  • Definition of safety requirements of a central aircraft control system based on Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA)
  • Executing System Safety Assessments which includes the Preliminary System Safety Assessment (including Fault Tree Analysis, Common Cause Analysis)
  • Support in the definition and monitoring of the Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
  • Support in the safety analysis of derived requirements

Requirements

  • Completed degree in software or electrical engineering, alternatively a comparable qualification
  • At least 4 years of aviation system security expertise
  • In-depth knowledge of safety and reliability analysis methods such as FHA, EPR, FME (C) A, FMES, FTA, ETA and HEA
  • Expertise in Windchill QS (Relex), ToolKit article and Isograph (fault tree) as security tools
  • System knowledge of navigation systems, flight control systems, engine control and in the reliability prediction desirable
  • Experience in SW or HW development of safety-critical systems in accordance with applicable standards and standards (ARP 4754, DO178, DO 254) including ARP4761 and ARP 4754 system development process
  • Safe handling in MS Office as well as Visual Basic
  • Good German and English skills
