Systems Engineer in the Electromagnetic Field

We are looking for a Systems Engineer in the Electromagnetic Field for our customer Airbus Defence and Space GmbH in Manching. In your future position you will be responsible for the engineering regarding electromagnetic effects on military aircrafts.

Task description

  • definition of system and equipment level requirements considering electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and electromagnetic interference (EMI)
  • discussion of detailed test requirements and validation of associated test plans
  • active participation in EMC, Lightning, Nuclear Electromagnetic Pulse (NEMP) and NH fuses qualification activities for equipment
  • equipment supplier monitoring of EMC related activities
  • evaluation of the supplier and test house reports
  • evaluation of modifications at equipment and aircraft level with respect to EMC and Nuclear Hardening, Bonding and Lightning (direct/indirect effects)
  • support to the definition, performance and evaluation of EMC-on-Aircraft test campaigns as well as clearance activities

Requirements

  • degree in electrical engineering, communications engineering or high-frequency engineering
  • at least 2 years of professional experience in the field of electrical engineering
  • professional experience in the area of communications engineering or high-frequency engineering is preferable
  • skilled in the use of MS Office
  • fluent German and English skills
  • assertiveness and organisational skills complete your profile
