Enhance your professional success as a Technical author and realise your vision together with ARTS. In your future position you will be based in Manching for our customer Airbus Defence and Space GmbH and, among other duties, will be responsible for the independent planning of data modules to be processed for the corresponding areas of responsibility.

Task description

  • Procurement of the necessary information such as design and concept documents and specifications
  • Preparation , adaptation and nationalisation of data modules based on the existing specifications for the preparation of AirCrew documentation
  • Generation of requirements for the preparation, adaptation and nationalisation of illustrations in collaboration with an illustrator 
  • Verification of the data modules with the system engineers and test pilots
  • Product assurance of the prepared flight manuals and check lists
  • Preparation of additions concerning supplements and changes to the flight manuals and check lists
  • Evaluation and incorporation of flight test reports
  • Processing of customer comments (IPRFs)
  • Technical and timing coordination with the partner companies (EPCs) and the required services in the German air force
  • Participation in internal and external meetings and representation of interests
  • Preparation, updating, configuration and management of technical data and publications
  • Generation of regular progress reports for customers

Requirements

  • Degree in aerospace
  • Or alternatively completed vocational training as a pilot, weapon systems officer on combat, mission, and transport aircraft 
  • At least 3 years of professional expertise in manufacturing, production and aviation
  • Practical experience as a technical author or editor advantageous
  • Good knowledge in SGML Editor, CSDB, IETP-X, S1000D, PDM and the ILS configuration management
  • Fluent command of German and English
  • Reliability and taking action to resolve conflicts should round off your profile
