Industrial maintenance at the highest level

If our customers' milling machines go on strike, the assembly line jams or the hall door denies access, we come into action. Our team of eight consists of trained industrial mechanics and electronics technicians and takes on regular maintenance orders, repairs and many other tasks at our customers' premises in Nordenham, Varel and Hamburg.

Industrial maintenance brings new tasks and challenges to our team every day. Within the scope of Business Process Outsourcing, we take over repair and maintenance tasks on the premises of Premium AEROTEC GmbH, in Nordenham and Varel as well as for Airbus in Hamburg.

The repair and maintenance tasks also take place during the production process on machines or also in the production hall, just where it is necessary. We have our daily to-do list but are also available for immediate use during the day.

Our mission

In addition to the maintenance and repair orders, our project order also includes the implementation of safety checks (DGUV), troubleshooting and programming for troubleshooting. We also check slings (e.g. ropes, lifting straps or slippage) and carry out load tests on devices and tools, installation equipment and lifting gear. Throughout the entire production process, our team ensures that all employees at the production facilities and machines are able to carry out their work safely and in accordance with occupational health and safety requirements at all times. A prerequisite for this type of cooperation is the confidence of our customers and our cooperation partner “FFT Produktionssysteme” in our capabilities. For safety reasons it is sometimes necessary to stop machines in order to guarantee the safety of the production staff. This is exactly what we are responsible for: that all repairs and maintenance work are always carried out in accordance with the applicable safety regulations and guidelines. This also means that we do not expose the production employees of our customers to hazards during our work or identify sources of danger before they endanger persons or before production comes to a standstill. Only after our work on a machine or other equipment has been completed and after thorough testing to ensure that the work can continue safely do so do we release the employees concerned to return to their place of work.

The most important thing about our work is that we integrate ourselves as "inconspicuously" as possible into the regular daily routine and production processes and can react to the local conditions without disturbing internal processes or even interrupting them for a longer period of time. Of course, the safety of all employees is of paramount importance, which is why standstills are sometimes unavoidable under certain conditions. In general, our goal is to ensure the functionality of the production facilities and thus the constant utilization of the machines.

Our mission also requires a holistic view. By this I mean that we don't just walk through the halls with a tunnel view and work through our task sheets, but also look to the right and left and identify potential sources of danger, repair requirements and problem areas.

Know How on many levels

To ensure that internal processes run smoothly, we operate a production shop together with FFT on site, which provides all the tools required for industrial maintenance work. Our experience in tool management enables us to ensure that the tools meet the required quality standards and can be ordered from any supplier, depending on suitability and requirements. All tools are digitally recorded and therefore also the current location. This enables an optimal planning of the processes and avoids excess quantities as well as idle times of tools.

Industrial maintenance needs passion

Working as an industrial mechanic and electronics technician definitely requires a high sense of responsibility and safety. The tasks change every day and we are always faced with new challenges, which we master very well thanks to our technical competence. Teamwork plays an important role in this, because often solutions are found much faster in discussions with colleagues.

Our mission also requires a holistic view. By this I mean that we don't just walk through the halls with a tunnel view and work through our task sheets, but also look to the right and left and identify potential sources of danger, repair requirements and problem areas. We report these to our client, including an assessment of the situation, and he decides whether and when we are to be deployed at this point. Industrial maintenance requires prudence and a lot of passion.

Because our job isn't a 9-to-5 job. Short-term emergency assignments require us to be willing to work flexible hours. Weekend work and night work are not uncommon in industrial maintenance and demand a high degree of commitment from us as a team. We bring all this with us and are now a very well-rehearsed team.

Conclusion - a change of scene every day

The exciting thing about project assignments in industrial maintenance is the large number of different orders and tasks. Only the regular inspection intervals for CNC machines, slings or other equipment are set, which does not fall within the support area of certain machine manufacturers themselves. In addition to these assignments, we receive new orders every day and are thus constantly finding new areas of application. That's exactly what's so nice about my work at ARTS, because regular challenges enliven my daily work.
