- About ARTS
The job description of aircraft mechanics is as old as aviation itself. At all ARTS locations, they are deployed in a wide variety of projects, whether in civil or military aviation. You can find all aircraft mechanic jobs in our job portal.
Depending on their professional training and existing expertise, ARTS aircraft mechanics are responsible for the assembly of structural assemblies and components as well as for the production of riveted joints on the aircraft fuselage. This also includes work on fuel, pneumatic and hydraulic systems as well as the maintenance, servicing and repair of, for example, hydraulic, water and waste disposal systems. Furthermore, our aircraft mechanics carry out assembly work in aircraft cabins. In the area of engine technology, our colleagues take over the maintenance and repair of engines on a wide variety of aircraft.
Whether CAT A or CAT B, it is essential to constantly verify the operability of parts and components in order to guarantee that the given quality standards are met. At ARTS, aircraft mechanics perform these duties as validators, also known as certified staff.
In the greater Hamburg and Bremen areas, our colleagues support two global players in the industry, Airbus Operations and Airbus Defence and Space. They are directly involved in the production of the Airbus A320, Airbus A350, Airbus A380 and also the Airbus A400M.
In Bavaria, our aircraft mechanics support Airbus Helicopters in the complete helicopter series in Donauwörth and in Manching they play a major role in the production and maintenance of the Eurofighters and other military aircraft for Airbus Defence and Space.
At the Dresden site, our aircraft mechanics are employed in jobs for Elbe Flugzeugwerke, among others. The main focus is on converting passenger aircraft into cargo aircraft. In addition, ARTS employees in Dresden take on tasks in the area of aircraft maintenance, e.g. for the Airbus A380 as part of the ARTS Structural Repair Crew.
