Job opportunities
A central factor in Hamburg's economic importance is the port, which is one of the world's leading seaports. However, in addition to maritime trade and business, important companies from various industries such as aviation, mechanical engineering and consumer goods have also settled in the Hanseatic city. Because of this broad mix, Hamburg offers excellent job opportunities and the best prospects for the future.
Training for accountants is not a recognised training occupation in Germany. In addition to commercial training, degrees in business administration and economics are among the possible training paths. However, a lateral entry is also conceivable with the appropriate skills. Jobs for accountants are usually found in the accounting departments of companies and organisations. The activities are mainly of a financial and administrative nature. In addition to knowledge of tax and legal principles, accountants need a high level of diligence, a talent for dealing with numbers and good organisational skills.
Projects
ARTS is looking for accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial and balance sheet accountants in Hamburg for us and our partners from various industrial and service sectors such as the regenerative energy sector, the food industry, the cosmetics industry or cleaning and recycling companies.
Depending on their specialisation, their tasks include, for example, taking over accounts receivable accounting, including related tasks such as dunning, or, analogously, taking over accounts payable accounting, including the corresponding payment transactions. ARTS accountants are also responsible for the formation of monthly provisions and the release of invoice limitation items. Another area of responsibility is reporting, where ARTS accountants regularly prepare meaningful ad-hoc analyses and monthly financial reports and are also responsible for preparing monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB).
Accountants also work closely with staff in other departments. For example, they support the financial management, work with the controlling department and sometimes take on controlling tasks independently.
