Possible applications

Industrial processes can be very complex and have extreme requirements for the materials or process parameters used. Within the scope of a process mechanic job, competent specialists take on the operation, monitoring and maintenance of the machines involved.

The occupation of process mechanic is one of the training occupations in Germany and has a standard duration of three years. Due to the great differences in the specifications of the industries in which process mechanics work, specialisation takes place during training, either in the metallurgical and semi-finished products industry, the stone and earth industry, plastics and rubber technology, coating technology, glass technology or spectacle optics.

In addition to general technical and scientific knowledge, the following other skills are important when applying for a process mechanic position:

  • high continuous attention and reaction speed (for process monitoring)
  • Skill
  • Precision

Projects

ARTS process engineers work for us and our partners who place the highest demands on the materials processed in the products. These include the extreme conditions of aerospace, high-performance materials from automotive suppliers and various material specialists, for example from the fields of fibre composites or plastics and rubber technology.

ARTS process mechanic jobs offer many tasks that ensure the proper operation of a company's complex plants. These include the installation of basic and equipment supply lines or, in the semiconductor industry, the prefabrication and installation of pipelines according to isometrics. In their day-to-day work, process mechanics are responsible for preparing work in addition to carrying out and controlling the relevant process operations. They examine the relevant work documents and carefully assemble the necessary work equipment. In addition, they carry out an initial quality check after the process has been completed in order to confirm that the process has been carried out properly and to record any complaints. The work carried out is also documented.

Application

Are you interested in our process mechanic job offer? You should have the following requirements for a process mechanic job at ARTS or one of our customers:

  • Completed training as a plant mechanic, process mechanic for plastics and rubber technology or in another job-related occupation
  • Qualifications in extruder welding, hot gas and draw welding, bonding of PVC parts
  • Basic knowledge of German and English
  • Professional experience in welding and assembly
  • Clean room experience desirable
