Tasks

  • Ensuring efficient and cost-effective procurement for the aviation industry on a global level
  • Creating and implementing tailor-made purchasing strategies to optimise procurement processes in the international aviation market
  • Identifying suitable suppliers, maintaining long-term partnerships and continuously expanding the supplier network
  • Conducting successful negotiations and concluding framework agreements to secure the best conditions on the global procurement market
  • Analysing existing purchasing processes and markets to continuously improve and increase efficiency
  • Expanding the supplier network and identifying new sources to ensure material availability
  • Regular reporting and transparent communication of purchasing activities to management for strategic decision making

Qualification

  • Completed technical or business studies or alternatively completed technical or commercial vocational training
  • Many years of professional experience in the field of strategic purchasing, ideally in an international environment
  • Expertise in the fields of aviation technology or the automotive supply industry is desirable in order to understand industry-specific requirements
  • Very good knowledge of common MS Office applications, especially MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • Business fluent in English for successful communication with international suppliers and partners
  • Existing work permit for the European Union
