Material Manager Aviation Supply Chain (m/w/d)

For our client Lufthansa Technik AG, we are looking for an Material Manager Aviation Supply Chain at their Munich location who can manage processes in the area of aircraft cabin materials with oversight and commitment. You will work closely with international suppliers, internal interfaces, and repair management, and take responsibility for everything from determining requirements to delivery. Apply now!

Tasks

  • Identify, validate, and prioritize requirements for cabin materials for the Lufthansa fleet
  • Obtain supplier quotes, place orders, and track them until goods are received
  • Communicate with international suppliers and escalate delivery delays
  • Coordinate interface requests from maintenance, engineering, logistics, and other departments
  • Managing material transfers between Frankfurt and Munich
  • Supporting repair management in repair processes instead of new purchases
  • Taking on additional internal team coordination and organizational activities

Qualification

  • Completed commercial training or bachelor's degree in economics
  • Many years of professional experience in purchasing and/or materials management
  • Very good German and English skills (at least B2)
  • Hybrid working (2–3 days in the office, 2–3 days remote) possible
  • Strong planning, coordination, and scheduling skills
  • A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
