Materials Procurement Officer in Operational Purchasing (m/f/x)

We are looking for an Materials Procurement Officer in Operational Purchasing for our aviation customer in Schkeuditz near Leipzig. Tasks

  • Ensure the availability of all parts required to guarantee fault-free maintenance and repair of aviation equipment
  • Optimise workflows by working closely with the repair team to ensure timely and efficient order fulfilment
  • Ensuring the availability of materials in critical situations and the ability to react quickly in the event of bottlenecks
  • Ensuring the best purchasing conditions and compliance with contractually agreed framework conditions to optimise procurement costs
  • Reducing total cost of ownership and risks through sustainable collaboration and strategic supplier management
  • Thoroughly analysing offers to ensure the best conditions and high-quality materials

Qualification

  • Completed technical or commercial vocational training
  • Several years of experience in purchasing, warehouse management or logistics, ideally with a background in the automotive industry, but preferably with specialisation in the aviation industry
  • Confident handling of common programs such as MS Office and ERP software, preferably Business Central for efficient management and optimisation of processes
  • Fluency in English for communication in an international working environment and efficient collaboration with global suppliers and partners
  • Existing work permit for the European Union
