Tasks

• Coordinating test requirements with internal stakeholders and creating test orders
• Sample preparation: embedding, grinding, polishing, microscopy
• Performing physical-chemical laboratory tests (e.g.DSC, DMA, TMA, rheometry, IR spectroscopy)
• Analysis of composite materials (e.g. fiber volume content, media exposure, corrosion testing)
• Documentation and report writing in accordance with ISO 17025 (quality management system)
• If suitable: conducting technical investigations in the laboratory galvanic area
• Supporting failure analyses and assisting in the creation and maintenance of internal test instructions

Qualification

• Completed vocational training as a materials tester, technician, lab assistant, or equivalent
  OR
  Completed degree in materials science, chemistry, aerospace engineering, composites, or a related field
• Several years of professional experience in lab work, materials testing and engineering
• In-depth knowledge of material analysis, destructive testing, and operation of servo-hydraulic and electro-mechanical test machines
• Very good MS Office skills; experience with Google Workspace is a plus
• Fluent in German and English (minimum C1 level in both)
• A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is strictly required
• CV in English is mandatory
