Tasks

  • Creation and optimisation of NC programs for high-precision 5-axis CNC machines for the efficient production of sophisticated components
  • Preparation and integration of 2D/3D CAD data (e.g. with CATIA V5, Fastsuite) for seamless production planning
  • Definition of optimal machining strategies for the production of complex component geometries, including free-form surfaces, taking into account the specific material properties
  • Simulation of NC programs with Vericut for reliable collision avoidance and process optimisation
  • Support during production start-up through to series production and final FAI approval, including fine-tuning on site
  • Advising the design department on the design and layout of clamping fixtures, milling tools and component designs to optimise production
  • Coordination of initial sample production in collaboration with production staff, including quality assurance (QA) and approval processes

Qualification

  • Successfully completed studies in mechanical engineering, a technical degree or a comparable qualification (e.g. toolmaker at least as a technician or business administrator)
  • Sound knowledge in the creation and adaptation of NC programmes, ideally in an aviation environment
  • Familiarity with Diehl Aviation or Airbus manufacturing processes is a plus
  • Confident in the use of CVNC, CATIA V5 and NC-Opt-S for efficient production planning
  • Practice in the use of the Vericut simulation system for collision avoidance and process optimisation
  • Understanding of the Airbus drawing system and confident handling of complex CAD data
  • In-depth user knowledge of SAP and routine in using other IT tools
  • Business fluent German and good English skills
  • Valid work permit for the European Union
