Tasks

• Planning, development and modification of equipment and devices for the assembly/disassembly and repair of engines
• Management and participation in projects in the field of repair development, including capacity building and process optimization
• Documentation of equipment in accordance with legal and specific requirements of Lufthansa Technik (LHT) (e.g. material master data, test instructions, operating instructions)
• Preparation of specifications, tenders and procurement of equipment, taking into account economic aspects and relevant purchasing processes
• Implementation of development projects as part of LHT development operations as a design engineer (incl. documentation and verification)
• Assumption of special tasks

Qualification

• Completed studies in engineering, specializing in mechanical engineering
• Additional qualification as a design engineer desirable or willingness to acquire one
• Several years of professional experience in project management and fixture construction
• Sound expertise in business management contexts
• Good knowledge of general design and machine guidelines (e.g. CE, EN, DIN), individual engine parts, materials and repair procedures as well as know-how of the relevant aircraft construction regulations and specific LHT specifications
• Good user knowledge of SAP R/3 and MS Office as well as basic knowledge of CAD systems such as Siemens NX, Teamcenter and Solidworks
• Business fluent in German and English (at least C1 level)
• An unrestricted work permit for the EU is mandatory
