Quality Manager Supply Chain at Airbus (m/f/x)

We are currently looking for a Quality Manager Supply Chain for our client Airbus Operations GmbH at their Hamburg Finkenwerder site. In this challenging position, you will be responsible for supplier performance, quality assurance, and the entire procurement process – all at one of the world's leading aviation companies. Tasks

  • Responsibility for quality and delivery performance along the supply chain
  • Management and escalation of operational issues with suppliers and initiation of short-term measures
  • Supplier selection and evaluation during the tendering phase
  • Capacity and capability testing and supplier development
  • Initiation and implementation of improvement projects with suppliers in collaboration with the Supplier Development Team
  • Reporting on KPIs, assessments, and supplier status in MFT/MDT meetings
  • Communication as an interface between internal teams and external suppliers
  • Contract management and operational control as the central point of contact for suppliers

 

Qualification

  • Completed degree in engineering, business administration, a technical field or comparable
  • Several years of professional experience in project management, quality management and supply chain
  • Expertise in industrialization in accordance with APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) desirable
  • Basic user knowledge of SAP and confidence in using Google Workspace
  • Business fluent English (at least C1) and German skills are an advantage
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (1–3 times a year)
  • Resume in English required
  • A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
