Spacecraft Mechanic (m/f/x)

From integrating complex assemblies to carrying out precise quality checks - as a Spacecraft Mechanic at our customer Airbus Defence and Space in Immenstaad, you will ensure that every detail is right. The maximum gross annual salary is €58,500. Please note that we can only consider candidates who have a valid work permit for the EU (not a student visa).

Tasks

  • Carrying out mechanical assembly and structural repairs for space systems
  • Ensuring continuous improvement processes to optimise workflows
  • Carrying out first level quality checks to ensure product quality
  • Working under clean room conditions according to ISO8 standard to ensure highest precision
  • Integration of assemblies with a variety of functions and components
  • Precise machining of joining parts to ensure functionality
  • Installation of bearings and encoders, precise handling of measuring equipment and testing devices
  • Documentation of work processes in accordance with applicable work regulations and quality standards

Qualification

  • Completed vocational training as a mechanic, mechatronics technician or vocational training with additional qualification as a technician
  • Practical experience in assembly, integration and/or production required
  • Aerospace experience an advantage
  • Detailed knowledge of MS Office
  • Fluency in German and/or English
  • Existing work permit for the European Union (no student visa)
  • Team player with a high sense of responsibility and a proactive way of working
