Specialist Customs & Export Control Aviation (m/f/x)

We are looking for an experienced Customs & Export Control Specialist for our client Lufthansa Technik AG in Hamburg. In this role, you will be responsible for legally compliant material classification, ensure data quality in the material master and work closely with internal specialists from customs, export control and technology.

Get started now in an international aviation environment! Depending on qualifications, the gross annual salary is between €70,000 and a maximum of €90,000. Please note that we can only consider candidates who have a valid, unrestricted work permit for the EU (no student visa).

Tasks

  • Responsibility for legally compliant material classification in accordance with local and international regulations (e.g. export control, chemical-related measures)
  • Final decision-making authority for the classification of materials in accordance with legal requirements
  • Maintenance and processing of material master data with a focus on legal control
  • Ensuring data consistency and quality in the material master
  • Coordination of technical clarifications with the Material Properties Manager on trade-related issues
  • Issuing instructions to the Trade Compliance Manager in the context of material classification

Qualification

  • Completed studies in the economic or technical field (e.g. industrial engineering or international business law / foreign trade)
  • Sound knowledge of customs tariff classification
  • Many years of experience in customs and foreign trade law
  • Strong ability to analyze and interpret legal requirements
  • Good knowledge of material properties, especially in the field of aircraft equipment (LRUs - Line Replaceable Units)
  • Very good knowledge of English (at least B1) and good knowledge of German (at least B2)
  • A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is mandatory
