Technical Writer Aviation (m/f/x)

Technical documentation is your language? Then start writing the future at Diehl Aerospace.
We are currently hiring an experienced Technical Writer Aviation for our client Diehl Aerospace GmbH at the location Frankfurt am Main – alternatively, this position can also be based in Nuremberg or Überlingen. In this role, you will independently create and maintain technical documentation for civil aviation systems. You work in a structured and analytical way and enjoy contributing to complex, cross-functional projects? Then we look forward to receiving your application! 

The gross annual salary is up to €64,000 depending on qualifications. Please note that we can only consider applicants with a valid, unrestricted work permit for the EU (no student visa).

Tasks

  • Create maintenance and repair documentation for civil aviation systems to ensure operational readiness
  • Maintain and migrate existing documentation from legacy systems
  • Plan and manage internal and external reviews as well as shop verifications
  • Apply technical standards and comply with aviation-specific documentation requirements

Qualification

  • Completed vocational training or academic degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or similar, combined with a certified technical author training
  • Several years of professional experience as a technical author / technical writer in the aerospace industry
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Advanced application knowledge of MS Office and SAP
  • Business fluent German skills (at least C1) and proficient English skills (at least B2)
  • A valid, unrestricted work permit for the European Union (no student visa) is strictly required
