ARTS moves its southern site to a new home in Gilching
The ARTS southern site has moved from Munich Pasing to the business park near the “Sonderflughafen Oberpfaffenhofen” in Gilching. The new office offers not only more space for the ARTS employees, but also immediate proximity to customers and our projects.
In early 2017 the ARTS southern site moved and is now located in a business park at the Oberpfaffenhofen special-purpose airport in Gilching near Munich. ARTS has found ideal conditions there. The Bavarian aviation and aerospace network bavAIRia e.V. is in the neighboring building, and numerous customers, such as AOA Apparatebau, RUAG Aerospace Structures GmbH, and OHB System AG are near by. The German Aerospace Center (DLR) is a few meters away. Good transport links - right off the A 96 (exit Oberpfaffenhofen) - also allows quick access to the branch office.
At the beginning of the new year, ARTS got a larger office space in the ASTO-Park Oberpfaffenhofen/Gilching. The office at Friedrichshafen Str. 3 provides enough space for the on-site staff. "Coming to Gilching was just the right move - the industrial area here is still growing, just like ARTS. With our new office, we are more flexible and closer to our customers and employees who are involved in the project in Oberpfaffenhofen," says Andrea Piontek (formerly Felber), ARTS Experts General Manager and South Branch Manager. In the future, she will be supported in her sales activities by Helmut Schuster, who, from previous activities, knows the location well. The ARTS Southern Branch is now accessible at Friedrichshafen Str. 3 82205 Gilching. The central phone number +49 89 978 692 110 has not changed.
The business park Oberpfaffenhofen/Gilching is considered a high-tech location for the aerospace industry. On the approx. 40,000 square meters of industrial space, a total of 60 aerospace-related companies have been located since 2009, including AOA Apparatebau, which moved their location from Gauting to Gilching and the DLR, which is advancing robot research in a new building. OHB System AG acquired a state-of-the-art operations complex in 2015. The largest tenants at the site are Dornier Seawings and the Swiss tech company RUAG. In December 2016 Airbus sold its airport space, an additional business park will be built there. Overall, the area including the airport and the DLR has about 6,000 jobs.
