Start as a computer scientist in Munich at ARTS

The city of Munich offers a historically grown, almost unique mixture of large corporations, established medium-sized companies and innovative start-ups, which provides a wide range of career opportunities for computer scientists. Combined with an attractive tourist location, a wide range of cultural activities and a generally high quality of life, it is not without reason that the Munich region is one of the most popular places to live and work in the country.

Job opportunities

The field of computer science is large and encompasses numerous occupational fields and areas of responsibility. For some jobs, a degree in computer science is indispensable; for others, specialised training is a prerequisite. In addition to the basics of education, many jobs also require specific technical knowledge - for example, in certain programming languages or software environments - as well as relevant experience.

Computer scientists develop and optimise IT systems and programme the corresponding software. In addition, they provide support in the event of problems and malfunctions and serve as competent contact persons for other employees. In addition to logical thinking and a mathematical-technical affinity, they should also be able to work in a team and have good communication skills.

Projects

ARTS computer scientists work in Munich for us and our customers from attractive sectors such as agricultural machinery development or the electronics industry. Here, for example, they take on the coordination of demanding IT projects in the areas of network infrastructure and IT security, including the creation of associated technical concepts with cost calculations. This includes, for example, the operation and further development of the network architecture and infrastructure with a special focus on the administration, configuration and optimisation of the central IT security systems. Should security-relevant incidents occur, they carry out professional incident and problem management, including 2nd and 3rd level support. Furthermore, ARTS IT specialists serve as contact persons for all network-related questions and ensure the proper functionality of all automated processes.
