Job opportunities

The city of Hamburg is a very versatile business location. In addition to a dense settlement of companies from the fields of commerce, media, finance and culture, there are also numerous companies from the trades and industry. The constantly advancing electrification and digitalisation of almost all branches of industry and trade also creates a constant demand for electrical engineers and other technically skilled employees in Hamburg, offering good opportunities for an attractive, secure and challenging job.

Electrical engineering is a very diverse occupational field, with members of more than forty professions belonging to the electrical engineering profession. What they have in common is the general focus of the occupational field: electrical engineering. In addition, however, they usually specialise in different product groups or activities, for example as electronics technicians for mechanical and systems engineering or for industrial engineering. The qualifications required are therefore not the same for all electrical engineers. The skills and characteristics that are widely sought after include manual dexterity, technical understanding, diligence and good organisational skills.

Projects

Electrical engineers work for ARTS or one of our partners in a demanding technical environment, for example in the aerospace industry or for a dedicated technical service provider. ARTS is particularly looking for electrical engineers with further training who are qualified to take on project management tasks and thus also assume an interface function with the design department.

ARTS electrical engineers are responsible for the preparation and planning of work tasks, including the monitoring of deadlines for incoming production orders. They take over and delegate numerous activities, such as the preparation of technical documents like work plans, parts lists, operating instructions and risk assessments. They are also important project supervisors, from examining and evaluating the feasibility of customer specifications to testing the completed electrical installations. As project managers, they are also responsible for ensuring compliance with all occupational safety regulations.
