Projects

The focus of an IT specialist's job at ARTS differs depending on the specialisation. If you specialise in application development, you will be concerned with the optimal development and enhancement of IT applications and their subsequent integration into third-party systems and subsystems. If necessary, this can also be done by evaluating and using new techniques and frameworks. Specifically, development includes: analysis, design, development and implementation of scalable IT systems as well as the associated front ends. Depending on the product, a customer-specific adaptation is carried out later, including any maintenance work that may be required. In order to plan or prove the programming activities, the corresponding system specifications and software documentation are created in an ARTS IT specialist job.

In the system integration specialisation, the focus is on the planning, installation and administration of entire systems and networks as well as the support of the software used throughout its entire life cycle. Here, ARTS IT specialists take over the acceptance of faults via all channels, for example for Office365 issues. After prioritisation, classification and documentation in the ticket system, the first step is usually an error analysis, including an initial attempt at a solution by remote support, which solves the problem if possible. Otherwise, the problem is forwarded to appropriate downstream units that are dedicated to detailed problem solving.

Requirements

• Completed vocational training in the IT sector or studies in the field of computer science
• Professional experience in Java application development, ideally with JEE standards
• Experience with HTML/CSS, Struts, Vaadin, Tomcat, IntelliJ, Jira and SVN desirable
• Good knowledge of relational databases, SQL and JDBC
• Good written and spoken German
• Commitment, ability to work in a team and sense of responsibility

You should have the following requirements for a job as an IT specialist with a focus on system integration at ARTS or one of our customers:

• Completed training in the IT sector, e.g. as an IT specialist for system integration or application development, IT systems clerk or similar.
• Experience working with products from the Office 365 portfolio.
• Very good knowledge (PowerUser) in Outlook, Word, Excel and OneNote
• Business fluent German and good English skills

• High degree of initiative and customer orientation
