Cabin Stress Engineer (m/f/x)

The position is temporary for approx. 1.5 years and the gross annual salary is approx. 80,000 €.

Tasks

  • Carrying out static and dynamic tests, in particular for passenger seats and monuments such as galleys and storage cabinets, for series production and new developments
  • Carrying out static analyses (manually and with FEM - Finite Element Method), checking supplier documentation, technical coordination with suppliers and acceptance of approval tests for certification
  • Development of test requirements and monitoring of structural tests for the validation of cabin components
  • Technical advice and support for external companies and supervision of subcontractors, creation of work packages
  • Support and supervision of customers for aircraft in operation, including ensuring continuous compliance with standards
  • Review and approval of technical documents in accordance with the delegated ATA (Air Transport Association) chapters and DTLL (Document Type Level List)

Qualification

  • Degree in civil engineering, engineering, aerospace engineering or mechanical engineering
  • Several years of professional experience in engineering and as a stress engineer in the field of cabin and/or structural engineering is mandatory
  • Sound knowledge of project management and the aviation industry as well as extensive knowledge of cabin component certification and cabin integration is required
  • ATA knowledge is essential as well as the ability to analyse comprehensive technical reports
  • Experience with Python, in-depth knowledge of Nastran, Patran and basic knowledge of vpm is essential
  • Business fluent in German and English
  • Willingness to travel (approx. 1 time per month for approx. 5 days)
  • Existing work permit for the EU
