Engineer for Qualification & Certification (m/f/x)

Tasks

  • Assumption of project responsibility including planning, reporting and risk management
  • Creation of the certification basis and requirements baseline for modifications and new helicopter variants
  • Definition of the approval strategy in close cooperation with authorities and internal departments
  • Development of verification programmes and their validation with regard to completeness and conformity
  • Managing all necessary measures as part of the overall project planning to achieve the certification targets
  • Contact for authorities and ensuring the harmonisation of verification documents
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant specifications and regulations
  • Contributing to the harmonisation and optimisation of future certification and development projects, including flight approvals for prototypes

Qualification

  • Completed studies in engineering, aerospace or mechanical engineering, at least at master's or diploma level
  • Several years of professional experience in engineering and project management, preferably with a focus on helicopter or helicopter system development
  • Sound knowledge and practical experience in the certification of aircraft and/or systems
  • Experience in the development of helicopters or helicopter systems as well as in the management of transnational projects
  • Expertise in dealing with military customers is a plus
  • Business fluent in English; knowledge of French, Spanish and/or German is desirable
  • Authorisation to work within the EU available
