How ARTS HR Lovers supports the harmonisation of HR structures at Last Mile Optimizer GmbH

Last Mile Optimizer GmbH (LMO), a leading provider of last-mile logistics to specialist retailers, was a newly founded company with different roots and faced the challenge of harmonising different HR structures from different company locations and establishing innovative standards. With this in mind, LMO was looking for an interim HR business partner and decided to work with ARTS HR Lovers to optimise its HR work and promote a consistent corporate culture.

Challenge: HR transformation for a growing company

At the beginning of the partnership, it was necessary to analyse the existing HR structures and processes at LMO. With our HR audit, we identified key strengths and central potential for improvement in LMO's HR area. The first phase of the project focussed on the introduction of company-wide communication structures as clear, binding guidelines. In addition, operational processes such as onboarding and operational integration management had potential for optimisation. In addition, the establishment and support of the whistleblower protection reporting centre was an important task.

One of the most exciting challenges was harmonising the HR structures at seven locations, some of which have different collective agreements. Through regular rounds of dialogue and open communication, we have jointly created sustainable solutions that strengthen LMO and help it move forward in the long term.

ARTS HR Lovers developed a customised HRBP on demand solution that was specifically tailored to LMO's needs. Together with the LMO team, for example, an individual code of conduct and a customised employee handbook were created, which served as the basis for a consistent corporate culture and clear communication standards.
In the area of process optimisation, we supported LMO with tried-and-tested documents such as process descriptions, checklists and schedules. This enabled a more efficient and sustainable implementation of onboarding and integration processes. At the same time, ARTS HR Lovers ensured professional support for the whistleblower protection reporting centre and took over individual process steps of the employee lifecycle, such as the creation of employment references for LMO. The targeted outsourcing of HR processes to ARTS HR Lovers relieved the burden on LMO's internal HR department, freeing up valuable resources for strategic issues and the long-term development of the company.
