Job opportunities

The basis for a job as an office administrator is usually a corresponding apprenticeship or retraining; for some years now, the official designation has been businesswoman or businessman for office management. In addition, graduates of related training, for example as industrial clerks, can later work as office clerks.

Office administrators work in almost every sector of the economy, but also in associations and organizations or in public administration. The tasks are organizational as well as commercial-administrative in nature, but very versatile. Bookkeeping and accounting tasks, payroll, accounting, internal and external communication or support for logistics are just some of the possible tasks that office administrators take on in their day-to-day work, depending on their specialization.

The central workplace is the office that gives the job its name. One of the most important job requirements is good self-organization. There are often several tasks to be performed at the same time, which must be prioritized independently and handled with appropriate care. Important documents must be in place at the right time and correctly prepared. Constant contact with customers and employees also requires a professional appearance and appropriate manners, both in correspondence and in personal or telephone contact.

Projects

At ARTS you will work as an office administrator in an exciting industrial environment. Possible activities are in the service area, where ARTS office administrators work in direct customer contact, among other things. They take over the central service telephone, handle service contracts, warranty cases, parts returns and repairs, or actively notify customers about the processing status of the order and important deadlines. 

Office administrators also work in internal administration. They process customer inquiries and spare parts orders in the ERP system, prepare spare parts and service offers as well as export documents, and support logistics, for example in new machine processing. They also take on coordinating tasks in cooperation with national companies.
