Tasks

• Independent preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
• Careful and timely preparation of balance sheets in accordance with current accounting standards
• Close dialogue with auditors and tax advisors for a smooth, efficient audit and cooperation
• Provision of all relevant financial information as part of the monthly financial statements, clearly and on time
• Precise account reconciliation (especially intercompany) and careful account maintenance for reliable financial data
• Support and close co-operation with the financial accountant in the processing of daily bookkeeping
• Ensure timely and complete fulfilment of all tax requirements
• Utilise specialist knowledge and analytical skills to continuously improve and increase efficiency of all processes

Qualification

• Completed commercial training or business studies, ideally with a focus on finance, controlling or taxes, supplemented by further training as an accountant
• Several years of practical experience in preparing financial statements in accordance with HGB; knowledge of IFRS is an advantage, but not essential
• Proven track record in a similar position, demonstrating the ability to adapt to different cultural and business environments
• Proficient with SAP FI and MS Office to efficiently process financial data
• Fluency in German and English
• Work permit for the EU available
