Tasks

  • Analysis, calculation and validation of metal, composite and hybrid structures with regard to fatigue and damage tolerance

  • Definition and evaluation of structural tests and structural tests

  • Provision of data for design for drawings in the areas of production, design or modification

  • Monitoring and support of engineering service providers in the area of structure analysis

  • Ensuring compliance with airworthiness regulations, relevant design principles, processes, methods and guidelines regarding manufacturing options

  • Interface support and communication with the relevant departments involved, such as Stress Engineering and Customer Services

Qualification

  • Successfully completed studies in the field of engineering or mechanical engineering

  • Several years of professional experience in the calculation of statics, fatigue and damage tolerance

  • Experience of working at Airbus is advantageous

  • Knowledge of the finite element method and Hyperworks

  • In-depth user knowledge of Python, Nastran, zamiz and ISAMI

  • Business fluent English and advanced German language skills

  • Existing work permit for the EU
