Central Purchasing Employee (m/f/x)

For the team of our client Lufthansa Technik AG in Hamburg Fuhlsbüttel, we are looking for a Central Purchasing Employee with strong negotiating skills, assertiveness and persuasiveness. Your high level of service and strong customer orientation will make you the point of contact for all internal and external stakeholders.   • Conversion of production requirements into purchase requisitions and orders in compliance
  • Evaluation and selection of suitable suppliers, taking into account admissibility
  • Obtaining, reviewing and evaluating offers for a well-founded selection decision
  • Optimising price and costs by selecting suitable purchasing sources
  • Identifying, commissioning and despatching materials as required
  • Ensuring targeted delivery times and conditions
  • Ensuring feedback and communication with requisitioners, suppliers and internal purchasing teams
  • Managing transparency, prioritisation and adherence to deadlines for all open purchasing processes as well as adjustment and coordination as required; adherence to KPIs


  • Completed technical vocational training with basic knowledge of business administration or commercial training with technical understanding
  • Professional experience in technical purchasing and sound market knowledge in the field of aircraft-related materials management an advantage
  • Expertise with material cycles
  • Profound user knowledge of MS Office and SAP R3
  • Confident knowledge of English
  • Flexibility for assignments at home and abroad
  • Existing work permit within the EU
