Tasks

  • Conception and design of airworthy systems up to certification readiness

  • Formulation and review of system, subsystem and equipment requirements in accordance with current airworthiness standards

  • Development and validation of tests and preparation of test setups for the low-voltage distribution system

  • Close collaboration with other teams in system development with regard to design, interfaces and control

  • Identifying potential suppliers, contacting them and assessing their capabilities

  • Participation in flight test campaigns for comprehensive product validation

  • Continuous review and optimisation of technical concepts, tools and methods

Qualification

  • Degree in electrical engineering, electronics or a related field

  • Several years of successful professional experience in the aerospace industry in the area of responsibility described above

  • Sound knowledge of EASA/FAA regulations and guidelines as well as relevant industry standards

  • Practical experience with requirements management tools, aerospace development, EMI and equipment qualification

  • In-depth understanding of aircraft electrical distribution systems at system and equipment level

  • Experience in safety-critical development processes and functional safety in the aerospace industry
