Tasks

  • Management and planning of the development of an electrical energy storage system, taking into account aviation standards such as ARP4754A and the certification plan

  • Formulate and review system and equipment level requirements to meet certification, customer, aircraft and safety standards and ensure required system functionality

  • Design of airworthy architectures for the energy storage system

  • Work closely with other development teams on design, interfaces, control and safety aspects

  • Coordination with potential suppliers to ensure smooth cooperation

  • Creation and management of Statement of Work (SOW) documents

  • Continuous review and improvement of technical concepts, tools and methods

  • Active participation in flight test campaigns to ensure system performance and reliability

Qualification

  • Successfully completed studies in electrical engineering, electronics, mechanics or a related field with a proven track record

  • Several years of professional experience in the above field, ideally in the aviation industry

  • Extensive experience in aerospace development (ARP4754A) with a clear understanding of safety critical development processes and expertise in certification requirements

  • Basic knowledge of EASA/FAA regulations and guidance documents as well as industry standards for the development of electrically powered vertical take-off and landing aircraft (eVTOL)

  • Profound experience with requirements management tools, equipment qualification (DO160), EMI and supplier management

  • Existing work permit for the European Union
