Tasks

  • Assumption of responsibility for various work packages and independent processing

  • Determination of the necessary approval strategy and type of verification management

  • Ensuring the provision of the necessary evidence to fulfil the approval requirements within the specified development and delivery milestones as well as cooperation with various technical disciplines and other stakeholders

  • Direct collaboration with project management within Chief Engineering, the various stakeholders within the Research and Development department and Customer Support, the partner companies involved and military approval authorities

  • Leading the approval activities for various work packages including all related project management tasks

  • Creation of the approval basis and requirements baseline for the modifications you are responsible for

  • Creating verification programmes and coordinating them with the relevant specialist departments, the chief engineer and the responsible authorities

  • Coordination of the activities required for approval as part of the overall project planning

  • Checking and validating verification documents with regard to fulfilment of airworthiness regulations and specifications as well as completeness and mutual compatibility

  • Coordination of activities to obtain flight approvals for test vehicles

  • Provision of all relevant verification documents to the competent authorities

  • Contact person for the competent authorities in matters of authorisation

Qualification

  • Successfully completed diploma or master's degree in engineering, aerospace or mechanical engineering

  • Several years of professional experience in the fields of engineering, project management and certification of aircraft and/or systems

  • Knowledge in the development of helicopters or helicopter systems is advantageous

  • Expertise in project management, especially transnational projects, is desirable

  • Experience with military customers is beneficial

  • Detailed user knowledge of MS Office

  • Proficient German and business fluent English required, knowledge of French or Spanish is desirable

  • Existing work permit for the EU
